Job summary

Thompson First Group seeks Electricians for contract-to-hire roles with a local client. Responsibilities include assembling, installing, testing electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with NEC and customer specs.

Qualified candidates will read blueprints, troubleshoot, and maintain tools in a safe, organized workspace, with opportunities to mentor junior electricians and contribute to project planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical assembly, installation, or industrial/commercial electrical work.
• Basic to advanced knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical drawings.
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and test electrical and electronic systems, equipment, and components.
• Install and route conduit, wireways, and cable trays in accordance with NEC code, blueprints, and customer specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
• Perform electrical connections, troubleshooting, adjustments, and repairs to ensure systems meet required specifications.
• Inspect completed work to verify quality and readiness for testing or final inspection.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to effectively plan and complete projects.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to less experienced electricians, based on experience level.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company quality standards and customer requirements.
