Novolex is hiring an Electrician Associate II in Frankfort, IL. This role focuses on planned maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and automation systems in thermoforming/extrusion operations. It offers a competitive hourly wage and three shift options to fit production needs.

Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma or equivalent and 3+ years in automation within manufacturing, with strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, and blueprint-reading skills. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years automation technician experience in manufacturing.
• Electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and blue print reading knowledge.
• Welding and fabrication experience a plus.
• Troubleshooting electrical and automation equipment.
• Ability to work with others as part of a team and overtime flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned electrical maintenance on equipment and machinery for thermoforming and extrusion processes.
• Troubleshoots and maintains automation equipment; performs PM and setup on automation gear.
• Diagnoses, repairs and maintains equipment including presses, extruders, formers, crystallizers, dryers, conveyors, and grinders.
• Mods existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades.
• Keeps accurate paperwork and maintains safe, clean work areas.

Job Description

Electrician Associate II|Frankfort, IL| Now Hiring

Compensation:

• $up to $38.95 per hour - depending on experience

Available Shifts:

• 7am-7pm
• 7pm-7am
• 2-2-3 schedule

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs planned electrical maintenance on all equipment and machinery for the thermoforming and extrusion process to ensure the integrity of electrical systems.
• Includes performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment. Also includes performing maintenance, set-up and PM on automation equipment.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repair/maintain all equipment and machinery including trim presses, extruders, formers, crystallizers, dryers, conveyors, and grinders.
• Modifies new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades.
• Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Responsible for ensuring housekeeping in area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidy.
• Follows all Company established rules and policies.
• Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations.
• Perform Maintenance Connection day-by-day duties.
• Be able to work in all areas of production.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 3 + years automation technician experience within the manufacturing industry, or related experience
• Must be knowledgeable in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, blue print reading (mechanical/electrical), welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Previous electrical experience with troubleshooting capabilities
• Previous mechanical experience with troubleshooting capabilities; Knowledge of PLCs is preferred
• Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively
• Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential
• Flexibility to work overtime.
