Job summary

Johnson Controls in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Wiring Technician/Electrician to gain hands-on experience wiring transformers, panels, and devices per engineering drawings with safety and quality workmanship.

The position supports Johnson Controls principles and plant procedures. Requires High School/GED and ability to use hand tools; on-site duties at the San Antonio plant with hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• P&ID understanding on electrical drawings as applicable.
• Ability to use hand tools, electrical equipment, and measuring tape.
• Capability to maintain a clean and safe work area and/or equipment as required.
• Active participation in a Continuous Improvement Team is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Wire (PLC) transformers, microprocessors, and junction boxes.
• Assemble and wire control panels from drawings.
• Perform conduit layout of unit in accordance with NEC and UL standards.
• Identify and wire all devices on unit.
