Crane Currency is seeking an Electrician Apprentice in Dalton, Massachusetts to join our Electrical Maintenance Group and grow practical skills in a manufacturing setting.

This entry-level role emphasizes hands-on learning, installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation, with a five-year goal to obtain a Massachusetts Journeymans License. Competitive hourly pay and strong benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have passed electrical trade school within 16 months of acceptance.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Possess basic computer skills and basic math skills.
• Ability to accurately record and document all work.
• Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and call-ins as needed.
• Preferred: Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understand electrical tools, test equipment, and electrical maintenance basics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of electrical equipment, including replacement, new, and upgraded equipment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and servicing of assigned electrical equipment.
• Learn to troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems as required.
• Support safety of personnel and property from electrical hazards.
• Maintain documentation, drawings, work orders, equipment history, and related records.
• Respond to supervisor and customer requests in a timely manner.
• Obtain a Massachusetts Journeymans License within five years.
