Crane Currency in Dalton, Massachusetts is hiring an Electrician Apprentice to support the Electrical Maintenance Group. This entry-level role provides hands-on exposure to installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment across manufacturing operations, with a path to earning a Massachusetts Journeyman’s License within five years.

You will assist with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation while learning from skilled technicians in a highly specialized manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have passed electrical trade school within 16 months of acceptance.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Possess basic computer skills and basic math skills.
• Ability to accurately record and document all work.
• Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and call-ins as needed.
• Preferred: ability to learn troubleshooting, fault analysis, and problem-solving.
• Preferred: basic knowledge of electrical tools, test equipment, AC/DC circuits, protective devices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of electrical equipment, including replacement, new, and upgraded equipment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and servicing of assigned electrical equipment.
• Learn to troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems as required.
• Support safeguarding of personnel and property from electrical hazards.
• Maintain communication with staff, supervisors, and customers.
• Maintain documentation including drawings, work orders, and equipment history.
• Respond in a timely manner to supervisor and customer requests.
• Obtain a Massachusetts Journeyman’s License within five years.
