Job summary

Delta Constructors, LLC is seeking an Electrician Apprentice in Carlsbad, NM. The role supports the Journeyman in installation, maintenance, operation and repair of electrical systems, following manuals, schematics and codes.

4 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule with overtime potential. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year electrical experience (preferred industrial), and a 2-year diploma in electrical technology (preferred).

Job description

Brief Description:

The Electrician Apprentice reports indirectly to the Electrical Superintendent, directly to the Electrician Journeyman and supports the Journeyman in the installation, maintenance, operation and repair of electrical systems by handling tools, testing malfunctioning equipment and identifying defects. The incumbent is responsible for completing electrical wiring tasks, alignment adjustments and calibration of equipment following manuals, schematics, drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and code.

Schedule:

4 weeks ON 2 weeks OFF

• 60 hours per week
• Flexibility for special occasions, family needs, or other accommodations is available

Licensing Information and Requirements:

• Apprentice License in from the state of Utah preferred OR

Essential Job Functions:

• Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and electrical codes
• Assists Journeymen with installation tasks
• Measures, cutes, and bends wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, or Equivalent
• One (1) year electrical experience; industrial industry, preferred
• Two (2) year diploma or degree in electrical technology, preferred
• Current and valid driver’s license, with clean driving record required depending on location
• Current OSHA 10 and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) certificates or be able to obtain upon hire
