Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Electrician 1 to support the Capitol Complex. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, read blueprints, and ensure safety of essential equipment. This on-site role requires licensure as a journey-level electrician in PA and a valid driver's license, with work in Dauphin County.

Hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, full-time. Telework is not offered. Veterans and diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Successful completion of Electrician Trainee program or four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment.
• Active license as a journey-level electrician in PA (City of Harrisburg) and a valid motor vehicle license.
• Willing to work in Dauphin County, PA.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, lighting, controls, and other electrical components.
• Maintain knowledge of National Electrical Code standards.
• Identify and correct power failures and short circuits using proper tools.
• Operate volt-ohm-milliamp meters and similar devices.
• Follow blueprints and coordinate with other trades to support project flow.
