SUMMARY:
Perform maintenance service and repair on all electrical systems and components. Participates in cross training and educational programs to lift skills and awareness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains, repairs service and troubleshoot all aspects of the electrical facilities systems.
- Helps to maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and replacement items and assigned duties by Facilities Supervisor.
- Relies on education, experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals with limited supervision.
- Reports repair requirements to Facilities Supervisor and capable of explaining plans to complete repairs. Occasionally may be required to estimate material cost for electrical repairs.
Estimates material purchases for electrical repairs.
- Visually inspects building to include; mechanical and electrical room, life safety issues, and perform repair work as needed.
- Interprets blueprints; works from sketches or verbal instructions to determine locations of equipment and conformance to electrical, building and safety codes.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and adjusts electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring and new service to include panels, breakers and circuits.
- Inspects electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes. Immediately reports deficiencies and safety hazards to supervisor.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using testing equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a malfunction and corrects the problem.
- Complies with Federal, State and Tribal laws.
- Works in a safe manner; complies with company and OSHA safety regulations.
- All other duties as assigned (non-gaming functions and issued gaming license permitting).

- Knowledge of operation and maintenance requirements on electrical, heating, cooling and related building mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of basic carpentry.
- Some knowledge of compounds and potential effects when mixed or used.
- Communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
- Skill in estimating time and materials.
- Ability to work in a safe manner following established OSHA safety regulations.
- Ability to operate equipment related to assignment.
- Ability to make repairs to electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to maintain equipment and supply inventory.
- Ability to perform activities using hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform duties considering the full use of Personal Protective Equipment without restrictions.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work flexible hours, shifts or days as determined by business demands.
- Ability to withstand dust, pollens and fumes on a regular basis.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Requires 2-5 years experience in the field, and procedures with in a particular field.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to walk, stoop, and lift up to seventy-five pounds. Ability to work outside in hot weather conditions.
