Job summary

Max Power Systems is seeking an experienced Construction Electrician to work independently on commercial electrical installations across Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland. You will read construction drawings and complete tasks safely and efficiently while upholding quality workmanship.

You must have proven commercial construction experience, strong NEC knowledge, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A valid US work authorization and a reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial electrical construction experience.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical plans.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience bending conduit by hand and with hydraulic benders.
• Experience with commercial service installations and branch circuit wiring.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit.
• Pull and terminate branch circuit, feeder, and low-voltage wiring.
• Install electrical panels, transformers, disconnects, lighting, receptacles, and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical drawings.
• Lay out conduit runs and electrical systems according to plans.
• Install and terminate switchgear and distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical installations and resolve field issues.
• Work safely following NEC requirements and company safety procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician License (Virginia, Maryland, or DC) preferred but not required.
• Experience with commercial tenant fit-outs, restaurants, retail, medical offices, and office buildings.
• Experience operating scissor lifts and boom lifts.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
