This role ensures all electrical work complies with applicable codes, safety standards, and regulations while delivering reliable power solutions.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities **Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.Ability to use a multimeter and megger.Install and test switchgears, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators.Repair, test and install electrical motors, and generators.Troubleshoot/install electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.Operates all equipment, as well as performing duties normallyWill be required to be standing for long periods of time.Assemble systems components as required.Other work as directed.Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.**Minimum Requirements **Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codesMinimum of 3 years of hands-on electrical experienceStrong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety standardsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manualsProficiency with electrical testing equipment (multimeter, voltmeter, etc.), NFPA 70E Arc Flash.Ability to follow lockout/tagout procedures and other safety protocolsPhysical ability to lift heavy equipment and climb ladders.Experience with electrical systems including panel boards and circuit breakers; Conduit bending and installation; Motors, transformers, and control systems**Preferred Requirements **Previous electrical training courses.High voltage, 3 phase, 12v/24DC and soldering experience.PLC experience.What We OfferAt Ingersoll Rand, we embrace a culture of personal ownership — taking responsibility for our company, our communities, and our environment, as well as our individual health and well-being.
