Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship, vocational program, or equivalent training preferred.
  • Current electrician license required, with ability to meet applicable state and local licensing requirements.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems, motor controls, control panels, and industrial equipment troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, panels, wiring, lighting, motors, and controls in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on production equipment, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, sensors, and power distribution systems to minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, single-line diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, switchgear, control panels, and facility electrical systems.
  • Support installation, start-up, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment and facility upgrades.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, company safety standards, and applicable local codes.
  • Apply proper lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash, energized-work, and PPE procedures when working on or near electrical systems.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and changes to electrical systems accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, contractors, and production teams to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability.
  • Assist with root cause analysis for electrical failures and support corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

About the role:

The Licensed Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment that support our photovoltaic manufacturing operations. This role works hands‑on with facility power distribution, production equipment, motor controls, lighting systems, control panels, and related electrical infrastructure while following National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, OSHA, and local code requirements. The position partners closely with maintenance, production, facilities, engineering, and safety teams to minimize downtime, support equipment installations, complete preventive maintenance, and ensure electrical work is performed safely and reliably. The successful candidate will bring strong industrial electrical experience, sound troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Ability to use electrical test equipment, including multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of arc flash requirements, NFPA 70E safe work practices, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Experience maintaining electrical documentation, equipment logs, PM records, and work orders.
  • Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement experience preferred.

  • May require working at heights, in confined spaces, or during off‑shift hours to support production or emergency repairs.
  • Availability for on‑call support and occasional weekend or evening work as needed.
  • Required to wear appropriate PPE, including arc‑rated clothing when working on or near energized equipment.
