Job summary

Midwest Pipe Coating, Inc. is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our Indiana team. You will troubleshoot electrical control circuits, read schematics, and support maintenance of manufacturing equipment in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualified candidates hold an Indiana Electrical License, a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and at least two years of industrial experience. We offer a competitive wage, comprehensive benefits, PTO from day one, and a culture that reflects our core

Qualifications

  • Must hold Indiana Electrical License.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • Valid driver’s license (Required).
  • Minimum of two (2) years previous experience as an Electrician in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and repair processes.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical control circuits.
  • Read electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with programmable controllers and AC/DC/inverter drives.
  • Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Order supplies and materials for repairs.
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures when required.

Position Description
What you will be responsible for:
  • Be a champion for the core values of MWPC: Safety Commitment, Professionalism, Teamwork, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Troubleshoot electrical control circuits.
  • Read electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with programmable controllers and AC, DC, and inverter drives.
  • Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
  • Perform Lockout / Tagout procedures as needed.
  • Understand production equipment start-up and shut-down procedures in order to test it for proper functionality.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
  • Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Keep tools, supplies, and workspaces clean and organized.
  • Detect, identify, and repair building issues, including basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Work with all levels of the operations staff to reach reasonable solutions to issues and concerns.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and internal customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • Must hold a valid Indiana Electrical License (Required).
  • High School diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • Valid driver’s license (Required).
  • Minimum of two (2) years previous experience as an Electrician in an industrial environment.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and senior maintenance staff.
  • Knowledge of general manufacturing and repair.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime shifts.
