Job summary

Midwest Pipe Coating is seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. The Millwright position will perform general maintenance and repairs on equipment, machines and buildings to minimize downtime and support the production team.

Typical tasks include those related to circuits, pneumatics, cooling systems, pipefitting, and heating and cooling systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanically inclined professionals eager to apply their

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and senior staff.
  • Knowledge of general manufacturing and repair.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
  • Understand production equipment start-up and shut-down procedures to test functionality.
  • Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Keep tools, supplies, and workspaces clean and organized.
  • Detect, identify, and repair building issues, including plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Work with all levels of operations staff to reach solutions.
  • Perform Lockout / Tagout procedures as needed.
  • Establish positive relationships with vendors and internal customers.
  • Take pride in their work.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Description

Duties

Position Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license (Required).

  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and senior maintenance staff.
  • Knowledge of general manufacturing and repair.
