Job summary

McWane Ductile Ohio seeks an experienced industrial electrician to support plant operations. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems, read schematics, and work across departments to keep production running safely.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial electrical work or an associate degree in Electrical Technologies; PLC and VFD troubleshooting; ability to interpret manuals and perform conduit bending; safety training per NFPA 70E.

Qualifications

• Experience in installation and troubleshooting voltages from 24V ac/dc to 480VAC.
• Experience with PLC and VFD troubleshooting.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting equipment.
• Experience with equipment installation, panel building and conduit bending.
• 3+ years as an industrial electrician OR an Associates Degree in Electrical Technologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform daily electrical tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Read manuals and LO TO instructions to ensure safe work practices.
• Use electrical tools and meters to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Work across plant departments to support maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to plant safety policies and NFPA 70E PPE requirements.

Job Description

Planning: Employees must be able plan out their daily assigned job duties assigned by their direct supervisor. Work with others when planning scheduled repair work. Read and understand written instructions such as operation manuals and LOTO instructions to ensure all work is preformed in a safe manner.

Physical Action: Use hand or power tools and equipment to lift, hoist, and move parts and plant equipment with skill, care, and dexterity. Can handle heavy materials and work in a restricted area. Us s voltage, amperage, and ohm meters to troubleshoot equipment

Materials Utilized: Any and all electrical material

Facilities Used: McWane Ductile Ohio and McWane Poles

Location of Job: Plant wide; work within all departments is required

Tools and Equipment: All electrical tools and meters required to perform the job function. Electrical voltmeter, megger, conduit bender, drills and hand tools.

Safety: Adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures. FR rated clothing and special gloves require PPE required for Arc Flash Category 1-4 per NFPA 70E.

• Selected candidates may work in the area where molten iron is present, conveying and pipe finishing systems, and equipment.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: Team members who will support our McWane Way Culture. Team members will work together to make a quality product. Electrical experience preferred.

Prior Experience Required: Experience in installation and troubleshooting voltages circuits ranging from 24V ac/dc -480VAC. Have previous experience working with and troubleshooting PLC and VFDs. Must be proficient in reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting equipment. Have experience with equipment installation with knowledge of panel building and conduit bending. Individual will have at least 3 years experience as an industrial electrician OR have obtained an Associates Degree in Electrical Technologies or equivalent.
