Job Overview

Electrician – Housing‑Facilities Administration – Raleigh, NC. Salary range $56,000 to $64,000. Work schedule: Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm, occasional overtime.

Responsibilities
  • Construct, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in residence halls, apartments, and fraternity/sorority houses.
  • Provide expedient maintenance services to students residing in campus housing.
  • Climb ladders, lift and set heavy equipment, pull heavy rolls of wire, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
  • Read and work from blueprints and sketches.
  • Locate and correct defects in electrical systems and equipment.
  • Train apprentices in the electrical trade.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalency, or demonstrated possession of necessary competencies.
  • Considerable knowledge of the standard practices and methods of the electrical trade.
  • Skill in the use and care of trade tools.
  • Ability to locate and correct defects in electrical systems and equipment.

Required Licenses & Certifications
