Oak Harbor Public Schools is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to maintain electrical services throughout the district. This position requires completion of an apprenticeship and a valid Washington State license as a nonresidential maintenance electrician.
The role involves installing and troubleshooting electrical systems, responding to emergencies, and ensuring safe operations. The pay level starts at $43.84 for the 2025-2026 school year.
Qualified candidates should have at least six years of experience in maintenance and commercial/industrial electrical systems.
8.0 hours per day (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch period) for 260 days per year, maintaining electrical services throughout the district. Position requires visual concentration, dexterity, and precision; lifting and carrying heavy objects; standing for prolonged periods; working at heights; wearing protective clothing; travel between work sites (vehicle provided by district). May be exposed to high-voltage panels and may be called for electrical emergencies during offshift hours.
Maintenance/Electrician pay level begins at $43.84 for the 2025‑2026 school year and is expected to increase for the 2026‑2027 school year.
