Young World Physical Education in Aiken, SC is seeking a qualified Electrician to maintain the physical school plant. This full-time role requires a high school diploma and experience in electrical maintenance.

Summary: To help maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED. Two years’ experience in electrical maintenance work.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Not Applicable
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, control drawings, and procedure manuals; write routine reports; speak effectively.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding; analyze information and use logic; solve practical problems with limited standardization.
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to pass a district written and physical test; establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community; perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The work environment includes indoor and outdoor work; proximity to moving mechanical equipment; occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals such as petroleum products, degreasers, sprays, and non-household dust. The employee must meet deadlines with severe time constraints. Frequently works alone and occasionally works irregular or extended hours. Noise level usually moderate; occasionally loud.
