The position ensures reliable electrical service through inspection, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Work includes oversight of contractor work performed under a master electrician’s license and occasional training of other personnel. The position operates primarily in field environments and is performed under general supervision.**Essential Job Functions**Performs inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electrical systems, circuits, and components in County facilities.Conducts routine inspections to identify hazards, deficiencies, and code violations. Installs conduit, pulls wire, programs controllers, develops schematics and ladder diagrams, and tests equipment for proper operation.Maintains machinery and electrical equipment and performs voltage, continuity, and resistance testing.Reads and interprets blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and applicable electrical and building codes.Maintains maintenance schedules and documentation of work performed.
