Job summary

The Coweta County School District is seeking a skilled facilities technician capable of performing carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and grounds maintenance across district facilities.

You will help establish and maintain athletic fields, sidewalks, drives, and parking areas, under supervision, and contribute to safe, well-kept campuses for students and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or vocational training preferred.
• Formal training or practical experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain related tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry construction, alterations and repairs; build, install and repair floors, roofs, doors, windows, wood fixtures, and furniture.
• Under supervision, install, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and fixtures.
• Under supervision, install, alteration, maintenance, and repair of plumbing equipment and fixtures.
• Establish and maintain athletic fields and adjacent grounds, equipment, and facilities including grassed areas, shrubs and trees, sidewalks, drives, and parking areas.
• Perform other general maintenance functions as may be assigned by school administration.
