IES Infrastructure in Ohio seeks an electrical design engineer to focus on power distribution components such as circuit breakers, switchboards, transformers, and wiring. Responsibilities include red-lining schematics, sizing wires, reviewing cut sheets, and coordinating with purchasing and engineering to verify vendors' materials meet specifications.

You will evaluate and design electrical systems, develop manufacturing processes, support testing, and ensure NEC compliance.

Formación

Job Summary:

This person will focus on everything power distribution related, which includes components such as circuit breakers, switchboards, transformers, disconnects, distribution panels, and AC/DC wiring. Responsibilities include but not limited to red lining schematics, troubleshooting components, creating solutions for customer issues, performing engineering calculations, red-lining design work, creating bills of materials, reviewing cut sheets, some electrical supplies management, and inspecting/sizing wire, breakers, disconnects, and wire ways. They will also work closely with a variety of teams such as purchasing and engineering to verify that vendors materials are correct and meet the form fit & functions specifications expected.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Evaluate and design electrical systems, by selecting products, components, and materials to meet the application and customer requirements. Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing procedures. Support Customer system testing, Witness testing. Develops solutions to support product sales by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials. Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components; soliciting observations from the manufacturing floor. Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; coordination with quality department and quality systems (ISO). Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests; Sales and Customer direct support, Warranty and Field Service support. Maintains product and company reputation by insuring compliance with State and Local regulations and the National Electric Code (NEC). PLC programing knowledge and Interface with building management systems and communications equipment Creates and Maintains product data base to support product engineering and sales departments. Participate in training development projects for shop floor personnel and guiding field technicians. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in market related societies.
