Job summary

BPI Labs, LLC in Largo, FL is seeking an experienced Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across pharmaceutical manufacturing sites and construction projects.

You will read blueprints, wire and troubleshoot high- and low-voltage systems, and ensure compliance with NEC and safety standards. Qualified candidates have 10+ years in the field and a license or certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical installations.
• Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems.
• Extensive experience working in a regulated environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industries.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all electrical installations and maintenance tasks throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Provide day-to-day electrical support to the process engineering team to maintain optimal performance of sterile injectable production equipment, including vial washers, dehydrogenation tunnels, fillers and cappers, isolators, HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and water systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and project plans to understand electrical layouts and specifications for equipment and facility projects.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, control, and lighting systems in accordance with facility requirements.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical components, including transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical systems for both low and high-voltage applications.
• Diagnose electrical issues using a variety of testing devices, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and test lamps.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools to ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed, including repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to address electrical concerns and ensure seamless operations.
• Participate in routine safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and facility safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned by the department manager.
