Job summary

Vylor, headquartered with Corteva connections, seeks an Electrician at our St. Joseph, Illinois production facility to maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, and control systems essential for continuous operations.

Candidates should be a Journeyman Electrician with NEC knowledge, hold a valid driver’s license, and demonstrate strong safety, documentation, and teamwork skills. This full-time, on-site role offers a sign-on bonus and seasonal overtime during peak production.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician with field experience.
• Ability to interpret the National Electric Code (NEC).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle.
• Comfort with technology and basic computer software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to climb, stand, and perform repetitive motion; lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work independently or in a team, with strong communication.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain detailed equipment records and prints.

Responsibilities

• Operate electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems for process and facility.
• Perform electrical repairs, service, troubleshooting and inspections per guidelines.
• Support electrical safety program with program leaders for compliance.
• Follow quality and safety procedures including OSHA and PSM.
• Recommend improvements to electrical programs and add new devices as needed.

Vylor has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our team at our St. Joseph, Illinois production facility.

What You Will Do:

• Ensure operation of company equipment including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, control devices, for process and facility
• Perform electrical repairs, service, troubleshooting and scheduled inspections of equipment, following the prescribed guidelines and procedures
• Review and assist program leaders and teams with the electrical safety program to ensure adherence and compliance
• Adhere to all quality systems & safety procedures including environmental regulations, OSHA, PSM, and Corteva’s safety procedures in everyday work routine
• Make recommendations for improved safety through electrical programs and/or process changes including the addition of new devices, and hardware
• Various other duties as assigned

What Skills You Need:

• Journeyman Electrical experience
• You possess working knowledge and are willing and able to interpret the National Electric Code (NEC)
• You have a valid driver’s license and are willing and able to drive a company vehicle as needed
• You are comfortable with technology and possess good a computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required
• You are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and/or work in elevated areas, Stand, and sit for extended periods, Work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to 50 lbs. and perform work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
• You can work independently as well as in a team environment
• You have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• You have high attention to detail can multitask, maintain an organized workplace, and have excellent problem-solving skills
• You are willing and able to maintain detailed equipment records and prints as required

• You value serving our customers and know operations must be supported for optimal uptime. You are willing and able to work overtime and shift hours, which include weekends and holidays during seasonal peaks to support production demand

What Makes You Stand Out:

• Master Licensed Electrician
• Experience with a work order and part inventory system
• Knowledge and/or experience with Automation and Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
• Previous industrial maintenance work production equipment - electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, Motors and Gearmotors, instrumentation and controls, HVAC, and general maintenance experience).
• Experience with an SAP (or similar system) for work orders and parts inventory

The salary range for this position is $74,457.00 to $82,730.00.

This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
