Job summary

Green Bay Packaging - Fremont Division is seeking an Electrician to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems on production equipment. The role requires a strong electrical background and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

  • High school or technical diploma plus 2+ years in related work.
  • Assessment test will be administered.
  • Strong electrical background.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • PLC and variable frequency drives knowledge.
  • NEC and NFPA70E understanding.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatics.
  • Read blueprints/schematics.
  • Familiar with setup, SOPs and maintenance basics.
  • Must lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Lockout/Tagout safety familiarity.

Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Electrician to join our team at the Green Bay Packaging - Fremont Division!

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and diagnose causes of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic system problems on production equipment and execute the most feasible method of repair. Installs and repairs electrical systems and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment; other duties as required.

Qualifications

High school or technical diploma or equivalent practical experience plus two (2) or more years of related experience preferred. An assessment test will be administered. Strong electrical background. Sound computer skills. PLC and variable frequency drive knowledge. An understanding of NEC and NFPA70E. Proven abilities in troubleshooting and repair of all aspects of machinery including mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics. Requires knowledge of setup, standard operating procedures and required maintenance for a variety of machinery and equipment. Must be able to read blueprints and/or schematics. Requires working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic test equipment. Requires ability to use machine/equipment manuals and reference books and to work independently and as a team. Focus on Safety and familiarity with safe work practices, including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout and Alternate Protective Measures is required. Physical aspects of job include standing, bending, squatting, leaning, kneeling, sitting. Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Compensation & Benefits

Earn $34.90 - 38.18 hourly plus shift differential.
