Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking an experienced maintenance electrician to support production by troubleshooting and repairing electrical, electronic, and solid-state equipment. You will read blueprints and PLC programs to diagnose issues and ensure minimal downtime.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus Journeyman license or 150-hour Master Electrician course (or related degree). Shift is 12 hours; starting pay ranges from $27 to $37 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and solid-state equipment using blueprints, schematics and PLC programs.
  • Correct electrical problems of machine technicians in a timely manner.
  • Maintain electrical supplies and repair parts to minimize downtime.
  • Submit requisitions for parts to Supervisor as needed.
  • Perform preventative, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance on production and building electrical equipment including AC & DC drives and PLCs.
  • Maintain plant emergency lighting system and perform weekly checks.
  • Maintain logs or records required by State or Federal codes or company procedures.

Job Description
  • Ability to work with blueprints, schematics and PLC program listing to troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and solid-state equipment.
  • Must be responsive in correcting electrical problems of machine technicians.
  • Maintain adequate electrical supplies and repair parts to service machinery and prevent any prolonged down time.
  • Required to submit requisitions for purchase orders to Supervisor for repair parts or any other material required in his/her area of responsibility as needed.
  • Perform necessary preventative, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance required to upkeep production and building electrical equipment including AC & DC drives, PLC and other system controls.
  • Maintain plant emergency lighting system, including weekly performance check.
  • Maintain any logs or records required by State or Federal codes , or company procedures
Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with a Journeyman's License and/or 150-hour Master Electrician course at a technical school or a degree in a related field, i.e., electromechanical studies.

Position is a 12-hour day shift position with a unique schedule.

The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $27/hr; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience between $27/hr and $37/hr.

The salary range provided reflects the anticipated base pay for this role at the time of this posting. This range is applicable to positions performed in jurisdictions with pay transparency requirements, includingCA, CO, CT, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NV, NJ, NY, RI, VT, WA, Washington DC, as well as remote roles that may be performed in these locations. Compensation for roles performed outside of these jurisdictions may vary. The Company reserves the right to modify this range at any time.
