Job summary

Cook Home Services is hiring a residential Electrician to serve Crawfordsville, Indiana, and surrounding counties within about a 1-hour radius. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair home electrical systems, perform panel upgrades, and manage permits in compliance with codes and safety standards.

You will communicate clearly with homeowners, read schematics, and use electrical testing tools, while enjoying a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Valid electrical license is required.
• 8 years of verifiable residential electrical experience.
• Experience with electrical wiring, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical systems and wiring.
• Perform residential electrical repairs, service work, panel upgrades or changes, and other projects per codes.
• Handle electrical permitting for shutoffs as required.
• Read and work from electrical schematics when required.
• Evaluate electrical systems and recommend solutions for the home.
• Troubleshoot and repair residential heating and air conditioning equipment.

Your New Role

• Work as a residential Electrician serving Crawfordsville and surrounding counties within approximately a 1-hour radius.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical systems and electrical wiring.

• Perform residential electrical repairs, service work, panel upgrades/changeouts, and other electrical projects in accordance with applicable codes and safety standards.

• Handle electrical permitting as required for electrical shutoffs.

• Read and work from electrical schematics when required.

• Evaluate electrical systems and recommend appropriate solutions based on the needs of the home.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential heating and air conditioning equipment.

• Communicate professionally with homeowners, clearly explaining findings and recommended solutions.

• Safely use electrical tools, testing equipment, and related service equipment while following electrical codes, licensing requirements, and established safety practices.

• Valid electrical license required

• 8 years of verifiable residential electrical experience required

• Experience with electrical wiring, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair

• Ability to perform diagnostics, repairs, panel replacements, installations, permits, and power shutoff/restoration coordination

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics

• Knowledge of electrical codes and safe electrical work practices

• ServiceTitan experience

• Strong customer communication skills and ability to explain electrical issues and solutions professionally

• Ability to safely operate electrical tools, meters, testing equipment, and related equipment

• Ability to complete the physical duties associated with residential electrical service work

• Work as a residential Electrician based in Crawfordsville, Indiana and surrounding counties

• Must pass a background and MVR check
