Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi is seeking a skilled Electrician to maintain and repair motors, starters, breakers, and associated equipment across the property. You will install wiring for renovations and support electrical needs for exhibits and events.

The role requires reading blueprints, logging preventive maintenance, and collaborating with other departments. A valid driver's license and electrical training are preferred, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or better required.
  • Background in electrical training from a recognized institution.
  • Electrical license preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Installs electrical wiring for renovations, electrical outlet additions, motors and associated equipment.
  • Responds to work requests submitted by various departments.
  • Performs preventive maintenance to all electrical equipment and maintain logs.
  • Maintains knowledge of property information and memorabilia.
  • Maintains all lamps in the hotel, including socket repair and replacements.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints.

Job description

  • Performs electrical repair and maintenance to motors, starters, breakers, and associated equipment throughout the entire property.
  • Installs electrical wiring for renovations, electrical outlet additions, motors and associated equipment.
  • Responds to work requests submitted by various departments.
  • Performs preventive maintenance to all electrical equipment and maintain logs.
  • Assists other areas in repairs.
  • Maintains knowledge of property information and memorabilia.
  • Adheres to department and property policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining all lamps in the hotel, including socket repair and replacements.
  • Completes electrical set ups for exhibits and conventions including maintaining electrical equipment for exhibits.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in electrical shop and work areas.
  • Orders and receives materials related to areas and maintain orderly inventory.
  • Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Maintain flexibility to handle changing priorities.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to exercise initiative and a sense of urgency.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Strong tactical skills.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all employees and guests.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
