Job summary

Grand Hyatt Nashville is seeking an experienced Electrician to install, maintain, inspect, and repair electrical systems across hotel facilities for guests and staff.

You will respond to maintenance requests, read blueprints, ensure safety in accordance with local codes, and coordinate with other teams on renovations and upgrades.

A high school diploma, valid electrician license, and proven hotel/commercial experience are required; strong problem-solving and safety focus are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid electrician license or certification as required locally.
  • Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in hotel/commercial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring and safety standards.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems throughout the hotel.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
  • Respond to guest room and facility maintenance requests promptly.
  • Diagnose issues and implement safe, effective repairs.
  • Maintain emergency power systems and comply with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments on renovations and upgrades.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and inspections.

Job description

The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing electrical systems to ensure the safety, comfort, and uninterrupted operation of hotel facilities for guests and staff.

HOW YOU’LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, lighting, power outlets, panels, and controls throughout the hotel
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment
  • Respond promptly to guest room and facility maintenance requests
  • Diagnose electrical issues and implement safe, effective repairs
  • Maintain emergency systems including generators, backup power, and emergency lighting
  • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and hotel standards
  • Coordinate with other maintenance staff and hotel departments as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and repairs
  • Assist with renovations, upgrades, and new installations
  • Follow all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned
