Responsibilities

• Provides maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components, including wiring and lighting.
• Performs inspections, testing and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoots hazards or malfunctions and repairs or replaces damaged parts.
• Maintains system integrity with label management and panel labeling.
• Responds to trouble calls and emergencies; documents work in CMMS.
• Maintains inventory and procures parts as needed.

Performs inspections, testing and preventative maintenance of electrical and other equipment. Provides other facility maintenance. **Job Duties*** Provides maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components, including but not limited to wiring, lighting, nurse call, fire alarm, pneumatic tube, intercom, etc.* Troubleshoots to identify hazards or malfunctions and repairs or replaces damaged parts and equipment.* Maintains system integrity by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring, insulated cables, cleaning circuits; ensuring breaker and panel labeling, spare breakers in the "off" position, panels locked.* Performs testing and inspections and maintains records for emergency back-up systems as required by NFPA and The Joint Commission.* Performs preventive maintenance as needed.* Responds to trouble calls, work requests, and emergency situations.* Performs minor maintenance of plumbing, mechanical equipment, HVAC, systems, structures and other general maintenance.* Assists department colleagues of all trades.* Utilizes the CMMS work order system and documents time and work completion in a timely manner.* Maintains inventory and acquires parts as needed to perform repairs. **Minimum Qualifications*** High School Diploma/GED with required years of experience or* Technical School Diploma in related field* 3 years experience as a commercial electrician or* Less than 1 year with Technical School Diploma* Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints* Ability to determine causes of operating errors* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills* Knowledge of electrical systems, electrical codes, and safety regulations* General knowledge in electrical control, communication and power distribution systems* DL - Driver's License\_PA - State of Pennsylvania **Preferred Qualifications*** 3 years electrical experience in a hospital setting **Physical Demands** Lift over 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 140 lbs. Carry 80 lbs. short distances. Frequent standing/walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching overhead.
