Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to install, configure, and troubleshoot control systems in a Batavia, IL facility. You will work on PLCs, servo drives, encoders and related equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operation of conveyors and automated production lines.

You will perform programming and diagnostics on PLC and HMI interfaces, manage 480V three-phase systems and participate in preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with PLCs and servo systems.
• Experience troubleshooting packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, PPE).
• Experience with electrical encoders, servomotors, and amplifiers.
• Proficient with electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and wiring.
• Troubleshoot analog/digital controls with 480V, 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, servo drives and soft starts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices (encoders, load cells).
• Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces; ladder logic modifications.
• Troubleshoot HMI graphics and communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
• Diagnose issues using electrical schematics; perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors and production equipment.

Please apply only if you live within 40 miles of Batavia, IL.Ability to work 3rd shift, Overtime (1.5) after 40 hours and double time after 48 hours. 10 paid holidays, PTO upon start, regular and irregular raises based on performance.Duties:Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input/output modules, and all associated control wiring.Provide troubleshooting expertise of analog and digital controls with 480V, 3 phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and soft starts.Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices encoders, and load cells.Programming and troubleshooting of PLC and HMI interfaces.Perform configuration and logic modifications to PLC control systems.
