Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced maintenance technician for in-person work in West Chicago, IL, on 3rd shift with overtime after 40 hours and double time after 48 hours. The role involves installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, switches, PLC I/O, and related controls in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has PLC programming experience, servo systems experience, and a solid understanding of safety protocols (lockout/tagout, confined spaces).

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with PLCs and servo systems; PLC programming.
• Experience with packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, PPE).

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and related control wiring.
• Troubleshoot analog and digital controls with 480V 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, servo drives and soft starts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces.
• Modify PLC control logic using ladder programming.
• Diagnose HMI/SCADA configurations and communications protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
• Read electrical schematics to diagnose equipment issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment.

Job DescriptionJob Description

Ability to work 3rd shift, Overtime (1.5) after 40 hours and double time after 48 hours. 10 paid holidays, PTO upon start, regular and irregular raises based on performance.

Duties:

• Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input/output modules, and all associated control wiring.
• Provide troubleshooting expertise of analog and digital controls with 480V, 3 phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and soft starts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices encoders, and load cells.
• Programming and troubleshooting of PLC and HMI interfaces.
• Perform configuration and logic modifications to PLC control systems. Modifications will include programming in ladder logic.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose configuration and implementation of integrated and stand‑alone graphic human-machine interfaces.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose specification of communication protocols, including Profibus, serial and industrial Ethernet.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues utilizing electrical schematics
• Diagnose and perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Demonstrated experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), servo systems required.
• Experienced in working with computerized maintenance systems .
• Experience with troubleshooting and performing maintenance on packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confine spaces, personal protective equipment, etc.)
• PLC programming
• Experience with electrical encoders, servomotors, and amplifiers
• Proficient with electrical schematics
