Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Maintenance/Controls Technician in Wayne, PA, to install, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, encoders, and servo systems on 3rd shift. The role involves reading electrical schematics, diagnosing 480V, 3-phase systems, and maintaining production equipment with strict safety practices.

You will program ladder logic, work with Profibus and Ethernet networks, and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and laser-guided equipment while benefiting from overtime,

Qualifications

• Proficient with programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Experience with servo systems and electrical wiring
• Able to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics
• Experience programming HMI interfaces and ladder logic
• Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (Profibus, Ethernet)

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot with photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and wiring
• Troubleshoot analog/digital controls, 480V 3-phase systems, motors, VFDs and servo drives
• Maintain and diagnose encoders, load cells and position feedback devices
• Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces
• Modify PLC logic using ladder logic and troubleshoot graphic HMIs
• Diagnose communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet)
• Perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles and conveyors
• Follow manufacturing safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, PPE)
• Work 3rd shift with overtime; PTO and holidays benefits

Ability to work 3rd shift, Overtime (1.5) after 40 hours and double time after 48 hours. 10 paid holidays, PTO upon start, regular and irregular raises based on performance.

Duties:

• Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input/output modules, and all associated control wiring.
• Provide troubleshooting expertise of analog and digital controls with 480V, 3 phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and soft starts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices encoders, and load cells.
• Programming and troubleshooting of PLC and HMI interfaces.
• Perform configuration and logic modifications to PLC control systems. Modifications will include programming in ladder logic.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose configuration and implementation of integrated and stand-alone graphic human-machine interfaces.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose specification of communication protocols, including Profibus, serial and industrial Ethernet.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues utilizing electrical schematics
• Diagnose and perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Demonstrated experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), servo systems required.
• Experienced in working with computerized maintenance systems .
• Experience with troubleshooting and performing maintenance on packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confine spaces, personal protective equipment, etc.)
• PLC programming
• Experience with electrical encoders, servomotors, and amplifiers
• Proficient with electrical schematics
