The Building Maintenance Section plays a critical role in keeping Department Facilities operating safe for staff and visitors as it oversees the maintenance for over 250 Department Facilities Citywide. BMS manages multiple facility renovations that support Department initiatives and unit relocations. BMS is comprised of uniform, civilian trades, professional and administrative staff.
The Building Maintenance Section is currently seeking qualified candidates in the title of Electrician. Candidates must be willing to work maintaining and installing electricity in any of the roughly 250 Department facilities located throughout New York City. Work report location to be either Queens or Manhattan depending on needs.

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.
