Electrician

Under the direction of and reporting to the Critical Power Regional Director, the Electrician will primarily be responsible for performing lead electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment for National Power customers.

The successful candidate will have the ability to independently assess the needs of a job based on schematics or blueprints but may also conduct assignments based on written and oral instructions. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, teamwork abilities, and a commitment to safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide on-site client installation, repairs, and maintenance of equipment.
2. Oversee all network services and perform tests on equipment and circuits.
3. Troubleshoot issues and resolve requests or concerns promptly.
4. Perform tests to ensure systems are error-free.
5. Maintain relationships with customers and follow company guidelines.
6. Guide clients on proper equipment usage.
7. Follow all applicable building codes and safety regulations.
8. Suggest equipment upgrades while maintaining current inventory, including vans and trucks.
9. Update project records and prepare relevant documents and reports.

Education, Experience, and Other Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess 3+ years of experience in commercial electrical installation.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands:

• Travel up to 50%.
• Lifting and carrying objects up to 75 lbs.
• Climbing ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and ramps.
• Working in restricted spaces, on hands and knees or feet and hands.
• Using controls on machinery or equipment.
• Vision requirements include clarity and color vision.
• Sitting or driving for long periods.
