Job summary

Nucor Corporation seeks an Electrician Technician to diagnose, repair, or replace components in complex electrical control systems across our facilities. This role requires PLC programming, drive configurations, and strong safety practices on rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications include 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance, understanding of electrical theory, and experience with low-voltage systems, PLCs, instrumentation, and VFDs.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical theory.
• Experience troubleshooting low voltage (<600VAC) motors and controllers.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, process control devices, and VFDs.
• 3+ years’ industrial electrical maintenance experience.

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Electrician Technician is to be a great Nucor team member who demonstrates high levels of honesty, integrity, and ownership in everything they do. Additionally, the selected candidate must demonstrate the ability to diagnose, repair, or replace components within complex electrical control systems. This includes having the necessary skills to navigate PLC programs, drive configurations, and industrial communication networks throughout the troubleshooting process. The successful candidate must be willing to work holidays and rotating shifts which include nights and weekends. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications:
