Nucor Steel Seattle, Inc. is hiring an Industrial Electrician in Seattle, WA.

You will troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, work with the Electrical Lead and Supervisor in either the Melt Shop or Roll Mill, and uphold rigorous safety standards in a high-stress environment. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of related experience or formal training, with preferred 5 years in industrial electrician roles and expertise in DC cranes, AC/DC motors, and PLCs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience or formal training related to an Industrial Electrician position.
• 5+ years preferred in industrial electrician roles.
• DC overhead cranes, AC/DC motors, VSDs, PLCs, motor controls, and pneumatics/hydraulics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Maintain production and auxiliary equipment at a high safety standard.
• Work with electrical lead/supervisor in Melt Shop or Roll Mill.

Compensation Data Average Salary range for the role $124,946.12 - $151,872.79 DOE with OT availability and opportunity for advancement.

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Seattle is accepting applications for the position of Industrial Electrician.

Industrial Electricians work for and report to the Electrical Lead and the Electrical Supervisor in either the Melt Shop or Roll Mill. Electricians must be committed to their own personal safety as well as the safety of others around them. Electricians are required to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, while working individually or as a part of a team with other maintenance and production personnel.

Industrial Electricians must be able to function safely in a high stress environment and will be responsible for maintaining all production and auxiliary support equipment in a craftsman-like manner. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-Years previous experience or formal training related to Industrial Electrician position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as an industrial electrician
• DC overhead cranes experience
• AC and DC Motors experience
• Variable Speed Drives experience
• Programmable Logic Controls experience
• Motor Controls and Distribution Systems experience
• Mechanical aptitude, including pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, etc.
