Job summary

Etched.ai is seeking an Electricals Materials Handler to own the lifecycle of electrical components for Etched modules. You will manage receiving, storage, inspection, and kitting, ensuring traceability and alignment with BOMs across CM sites and in-house SMT.

You will publish weekly on-hand, in-transit, and CM quantities, run cycle counts, and help drive procurement with real data. This role is in San Jose, in-person, lifting up to 50 lb and working in an ESD-controlled area.

Qualifications

• 2+ years handling electronic components in manufacturing/EMS/CM.
• Knowledge of ESD control (ANSI/ESD S20.20) and MSD handling (IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033).
• Ability to read BOM, PCB drawings, and datasheets; spot mismatches.
• Experience with ERP/inventory systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
• Comfort with spreadsheets: lookups and pivots.
• Experience with contract manufacturers on consigned material.
• Organized under pressure; prototype builds change daily.
• Clear written communication for cross-team use.

Responsibilities

• Storage and handling: Receive, label, inspect and store board electricals with traceability.
• Consignment with CMs: record-keeping, reconciliations and variance closure.
• Incoming quality control: inspect lots, quarantine non-conforming material.
• Kitting: assemble components to released BOM and revisions for builds.
• Publish weekly on-hand, in-transit and CM quantities; flag near-reorder parts.
• Write SOPs for receiving and consignment transfers; support safety programs.
• Automation: help pull data into automated reporting and reorder signals.
