Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Power Yard Foreman to assist Electrical Helpers and Journeyman with material handling, equipment assembly/dismantling, and workspace preparation. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient material flow on site.

Responsibilities include measuring and bending wire, operating tools after training, lifting heavy objects, and maintaining an organized work area while following established procedures. Strong communication and adaptability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Must be able to work with power and non-powered hand tools and heavy equipment up to 200 lbs (50 lbs routinely).
• Current driver’s license is required.
• Willing to follow instructions, ask clarifying questions, and maintain teamwork and professional service.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using various hand tools.
• Safely use hand and power tools after training (drills, crimpers, cutters, etc.).
• Lift, position, and fasten objects.
• Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools for electrical trades.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and equipment.
• Work under supervision according to standard instructions and procedures.
• Build positive relationships across diverse backgrounds and roles.
