Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Electrical Helper to assist Electrical Laborers and Journeymen with material handling, equipment prep, and workspace cleaning. You will measure, cut, bend wire, and operate various hand and power tools under supervision.

Role requires ability to read blueprints and safety docs, lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance for heavier loads), and work in a team-oriented environment. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience preferred.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operation manuals and blueprints.
• Ability to work with power and hand tools and with heavy equipment.
• Willing and able to follow instructions; teamwork oriented.
• Detail oriented with good listening and communication skills.
• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs; use of assistance for heavier loads.
• Diversity awareness and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using hand tools.
• Safely use drills, crimpers, cutters and other tools after training.
• Lift, position, and fasten objects at worksites.
• Prepare and supply materials and tools for electrical trades.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized.
• Work under supervision following standard instructions.
• Build positive relationships across diverse teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
