What You'll Be Doing

• Assembling switchgear panels, control cabinets, and components from engineering drawings and specifications
• Wiring circuit breakers, relays, transformers, and busbars to schematic so every assembly is built right the first time
• Terminating and connecting cables, wires, and electrical components
• Running continuity and functional tests to confirm each assembly performs as designed
• Identifying and correcting wiring or assembly errors and troubleshooting electrical issues in switchgear systems
• Ensuring every build meets electrical codes, industry standards, and quality requirements
• Following safety protocols and PPE requirements and keeping a clean, organized, safe work area
• Documenting wiring changes, issues, and resolutions so the whole team benefits
• Keeping supervisors and project managers informed on progress and challenges
• Partnering with engineers, production, and quality control to hit project deadlines
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that boost production efficiency
• Helping interview potential candidates and training assemblers on wiring

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in electrical wiring, switchgear assembly, or related work
• Familiarity with electrical components including circuit breakers, relays, and power distribution units
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Proficiency with hand and power tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, drills, and screwdrivers
• Basic knowledge of electrical standards and codes
• Strong attention to detail, good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and effective communication and teamwork
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Availability for occasional overtime or shift work to meet project deadlines
• Bonus points for a technical certification in electrical wiring, prior experience with medium or low voltage switchgear systems, or electrical safety certification

Compensation & Work Model

This role pays $23 to $27 per hour. This is an onsite role in a manufacturing and production environment.
