Job summary

TAPP Workforce Solutions is seeking an Electrical Assembler for custom-engineered low and medium voltage switchgear in Addison, IL. You will read schematics, assemble, wire and test gear that powers facilities nationwide, joining engineers and production leads on specialized builds.

Candidates will gain medium voltage experience and contribute to process improvements while working on non-repetitive tasks in a stable, 90-year-old manufacturing environment with strong teamwork and safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE use.
• Technical certification or an associate's degree in an electrical or mechanical field is preferred.
• Experience assembling or wiring electrical components, especially medium voltage, is a plus.
• Familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes and power testing equipment is preferred.
• Ability to supply your own personal tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire low and medium voltage components such as switches, switchgear, circuit breakers and bus bars to specification.
• Turn electrical schematics, blueprints and technical drawings into finished assemblies.
• Install control wiring, grounding, relays, sensors and other critical elements.
• Test completed gear and ensure every assembly meets quality standards.
• Diagnose and resolve wiring or component issues, and replace or repair faulty parts.
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to solve complex assembly challenges.
• Keep work orders, test records and inventory tracking accurate and complete.
• Contribute ideas that improve quality and efficiency on the production floor.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

Compensation:

$23 - $27 per hour
