Job summary

Canyon State Electric Co. is hiring an Electrical Wireman 3-4 to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems per NEC standards. Role includes independent work, mentoring junior wiremen, and supporting project planning.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 2 years in electrical construction or apprentice experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical materials, tools, and installation methods.
• Physical task endurance (lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
• Follow state/local building regulations based on NEC.
• Use power tools and testing devices.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose problems.
• Inspect systems and equipment for damage, malfunctions, and hazards.
• Communicate issues and tasks to supervisors or licensed electricians.
• Keep workspaces clean and organized; ensure tools are in good order.
• Adhere to safety procedures and wear safety gear.
• Learn to read blueprints, diagrams, and electrical codes.
