Job summary

Mackin Talent in Sunnyvale, CA seeks an Electrical Design Verification Engineer to validate subsystems from concept to mass production and to define verification methodologies for electrical performance. You will collaborate with product architects, design engineers, and software/firmware teams to bring up, debug, and automate measurements, ensuring product KPIs are met and test reports are maintained.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
3+ years validating electrical subsystems for consumer devices.
Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscope, power supply, eload, function generator, thermal chamber and DAQ systems.
Working knowledge of Buck, Boost, LDOs, Load Switches, Fuel Gauge, SoC power.
Experience with I2C, SPI, UART and other protocols.
3+ years of automation using Python.
Experience with ADB; Shell scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Validate and characterize electrical subsystems from early proof-of-concept to mass production.
Bring up, debug, and validate signal and power integrity on prototype hardware.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks for measurement and testing.
Execute test cases related to design verification at each build phase.
Report issues in bug tracking systems and debug with hardware and software teams.
Support root cause analysis for power, signal integrity, and other functional areas.
Maintain and improve validation test reports, plans, and test instructions.
Debug electrical issues with cross-functional software, firmware, and hardware teams.
