Job summary

Quest Global in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Verification Engineer to define mechanical verification methodologies and drive validation across complex systems.

You will lead test fixture design, perform V&V planning, analytics, and coordinate with researchers and manufacturing to ensure robust product scalability. 8+ years in electro-mechanical engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of electro-mechanical engineering experience with verification/reliability testing.
• Experience authoring and executing mechanical validation plans with defined acceptance criteria.
• Hands-on experience designing and building test fixtures and instrumented rigs.
• Proficiency with Python for test automation and data analysis.
• Experience with I/O and data acquisition systems.
• Experience applying GD&T and interpreting mechanical drawings.
• Experience with statistical methods in test design and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Define mechanical verification and validation methodologies with researchers, architects and product design teams.
• Perform core verification for thermal, vibration, mechanical stress testing, etc.
• Define and track detailed test plans for the different modules and top-level systems.
• Define, architect, design and drive implementation of scalable test infrastructure and custom mechanical test fixtures.
• Keep track of coverage metrics and bugs encountered and resolutions.
• Own execution, interpretation and reporting of mechanical system-level verification and validation work.
• Drive FMEA, failure analysis, tolerance analysis, gauge R&R, and GD&T activities with cross-functional teams.
• Support system bring-up and debug activities.
• Perform analysis on large datasets to summarize results and communicate test plans results.
• Manage external vendors for test fixture development and data collection.
