The VDC Designer I will place equipment, conduit, cable tray, and other electrical items into Revit models, use Revit families, and navigate with Navisworks or Revizto.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks for electrical layouts.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam or Revizto is advantageous.
• Effective communication and organizational skills in a team environment.

Position Summary: The VDC Designer I will be responsible for placing equipment, conduit, cable tray, and other electrical items into Revit model. Be able to use companies Revit families in model. Navigate the model using field software such as Navisworks or Revizto. This role interacts with various departments within the company as well as with other disciplines outside of the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Layout electrical equipment for field installation
• Coordinate field installation drawings with project foremen
• Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam or Journeyman Electrician
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and hard working
• Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels
• Basic knowledge of electrical construction processes and procedures
• Basic PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Education and Experience:

Associates degree in 3D Modeling OR journeyman electrician license preferred
