Job summary

Alvogen in Norwich, NY is seeking a Regular Full-Time Electrical and Controls Maintenance Technician to maintain facility electrical distribution and building automation. You will troubleshoot, repair, and operate site utility systems in a manufacturing environment, performing preventive maintenance and emergency response while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic electrical theory and NEC knowledge required.
• NFPA 70E training preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Willingness to work with minimal supervision.
• Facilities maintenance experience preferred (~3 years).
• Ability to use Outlook and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and work orders and complete paperwork before due date.
• Shutdown, startup, and reset electrical systems up to 120V single phase.
• Assist electricians with restoration after power interruptions.
• Navigate site electrical distribution, major panels, and emergency generators.
• Replace like-for-like components (switches, receptacles, fuses, etc.).
• Operate building management system (BMS) basics and install EMT conduit up to 3/4".
• Maintain site utilities including air compressors, chillers, boilers, and fire protection.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks and general buildings maintenance.
• Operate site vehicles and equipment as required.
