Job summary

Accelera is seeking a skilled electrical maintenance professional to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems across our production sites in Connecticut. You will support HVAC, utility, and cleanroom infrastructure while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot up to 480V systems, and document activities in our CMMS. A CT Journeyperson license and 3–5 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut E-1 Unlimited Electrical Journeyperson license.
• 3–5 years of electrical maintenance in regulated industrial settings (medical device, biotech, pharma, or manufacturing).
• NFPA 70E, NEC, and general electrical safety protocols knowledge.
• Able to analyze wiring diagrams and electrical schematics and troubleshoot up to 480V.

Responsibilities

• Execute installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical controls and systems across the production site.
• Provide support for HVAC units, utility systems, and cleanroom infrastructure.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability.
• Diagnose complex electrical malfunctions in transformers, motors, VFDs, MCCs, lighting, and power distribution hardware.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS and participate in CAPA analyses.

Core Duties

• Execute the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical controls and systems across the production site.
• Provide essential support for HVAC units, utility systems, cleanroom infrastructure, and various facility support equipment.
• Improve equipment reliability and maximize operational uptime by performing routine preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Resolve complex electrical malfunctions in transformers, motors, VFDs, MCCs, lighting, and power distribution hardware.
• Utilize technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics to guide your daily work.
• Assist with capital improvement projects, facility upgrades, and the installation of new equipment.
• Collaborate with instrumentation and automation teams to ensure integrated systems function correctly.
• Verify that all electrical systems meet regulatory requirements, company standards, and safety codes through rigorous testing and inspection.
• Provide rapid response to facility emergencies and equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Document all maintenance activities and repairs within the CMMS to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and the implementation of CAPA protocols to prevent future issues.
• Drive continuous improvement and energy efficiency initiatives throughout the facility.
• Adhere strictly to GMP, EHS, and quality system guidelines to ensure a compliant workplace.

Professional Requirements

• Possession of a GED or high school diploma.
• Successful completion of a formal technical training or electrician apprenticeship program.
• Active Connecticut E-1 Unlimited Electrical Journeyperson License.
• Three to five years of experience in electrical maintenance within a regulated industrial setting, such as medical device, biotech, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing.
• Expertise in NFPA 70E, NEC, and general electrical safety protocols.
• Proven ability to maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems operating up to 480V.
• Proficiency in analyzing wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
• Demonstrated experience executing corrective and preventive maintenance tasks in industrial environments.
