Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience with professional tree crew work.
• Valid MN Class A Driver’s license with air-brakes endorsement.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Job description

Lake Country Power is a Touchstone Energy cooperative serving 43,000 members in northeastern Minnesota. We have an opening for one Electrical Tree Crew Trimmer in our Mountain Iron or Cohasset service center.

This position will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing all aspects of right-of-way maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines according to required specifications and standards. Lake Country Power’s tree clearing needs are relative to right-of-way compliance standards, member tree requests, danger trees, storms, and other integrated vegetation management (IVM) work as required.

Qualified candidates:

• Must have at least 2 years of experience with professional tree crew work.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must have the knowledge to utilize winches, pulleys, cable, rope, and tie knots.
• Must be proficient with a computer, iPad, and other mobile devices.
• Are required to complete Electrical Hazards Awareness Training before work can be conducted in the vicinity of power lines.
• Must acquire a MN Pesticide Applicator’s license within 1 year of hire.
• Must have a valid MN Class A Driver’s license with air-brakes endorsement.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry 75 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

The starting hourly range for this position is $28.49/hr. - $40.70/hr. Lake Country Power’s benefit package includes
