Job summary

Irby Construction Company, a subsidiary of Quanta Services, seeks a Safety Coordinator for Georgia. The role requires several years in Safety/Training and experience in Electric Transmission/substation work.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of experience in Safety/Training.
Two years of continuous Electric Transmission and/or Substation work experience.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA codes and standards.

Responsibilities

Measure field management work to ensure safety per specifications.
Adhere to all safety policies while conducting company business.
Observe employees and document safety behavior using forms and sheets.
Compile crew observation forms and submit to project supervision and safety dept.
Ensure equipment, tools, vehicles and conditions are inspected for safety.
Inspect climbing, fall protection, rigging and PPE equipment.
Remove defective equipment from service for safety compliance.
Refer to federal, state and company manuals for regulatory compliance.
Coordinate with customers, insurers and state agencies for site inspections.
Lead the weekly safety meetings and safety communications.
