Job summary

Stanley Consultants, Inc. in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Transmission & Distribution Student Intern to join our Des Moines or Muscatine office.

This onsite role provides hands-on exposure to design parameters and project reviews while supporting engineering teams. You will assist in data collection, studies, and preparation of designs, developing transmission standards, and contributing to schedules and environmental studies.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Eligible to work in the United States for any length of time.

Responsibilities

Support project teams, marketing, business development, and technical support.
Development of transmission line design parameters, technical design and project review.
Development of transmission standards and specifications, preparation of studies and reports.
Assists in the collection and analysis of data from reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, materials lists, permits and designs for projects.
Assists designers/technicians to create working drawings using computer aided engineering and design software.
