Stanley Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Student Intern for Electrical Transmission & Distribution to support diverse project teams in Des Moines, IA or Muscatine, IA. This onsite internship focuses on learning and applying transmission design concepts within a professional environment.

You will develop design parameters, assist in studies, prepare reports, and help collect and analyze data from maps and drawings under supervision. Ideal for engineering students seeking hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in the United States legally for any length of time.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams, marketing, business development, and technical support.
• Development of transmission line design parameters, technical design and project review.
• Development of transmission standards and specifications, preparation of studies and reports.
• Assists in the collection and analysis of data from reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
• Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, materials lists, permits and designs for projects.
• Assists designers/technicians to reduce designs to working drawings. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
